DAYCENTER REHABILITATION

The Outpatient Rehabilitation Centre at Miodowa 9 helps those who have suffered from mental illnesses. It co-operates with all the psychiatric care institutions in Kraków as well as with social assistance homes

  The centre receives patients from inpatient wards and sometimes from health care centres.
The programme of rehabilitation and treatment is targeted at chronic patients, which means that usually the patients were hospitalised for the second time or that they have been ill for several years.
   The basic principle in the treatment offered is to integrate pharmacology, psychotherapy and rehabilitation. Each patient has his/her own individual therapist and receives psychiatric care. Group meetings are held twice a week. Once a week an outing is organised, and also once a week the patients take part in Amerta Movement choreotherapy.
    During the week they undergo occupational therapy. In the rehabilitation programme the patients are chiefly prepared to enter the occupational therapy workshop programme or the sheltered work programme.
